I’m Kevin… or Dr. Kevin Yee, PharmD if you’re curious lol. In 2018, I was a practicing pharmacist climbing up the corporate ladder and hated it.

After investing 12+ years to pharmacy, I took the leap of faith into digital marketing, YouTube, and high ticket sales. Eventually I got to work with Ali Abdaal as Head of Sales, which was cool.

Eventually I got to hit my dream of digital nomading in Asia, doing BJJ, and meeting cool YouTubers around the world like Vanessa Lau, Chris Do, and so many more. 

Today I run a high ticket sales advisory, Kaizen Closing and share the real BTS of building a $100k / mo creator business with Refugee Hustle.  

But it wasn’t overnight… and I still go through it lol.  

So if you feel like you’re meant for more, if you want to build something bigger than you can imagine but you’re doing it alone and nobody around you understands… you’re in the right place.

 I did what was safe for 30+ years.

I went to college, became a pharmacist, and earned a $150K+ salary. On paper, I made it, and my family was actually proud of me.

But deep down, I wasn’t proud. 

Every day I dreaded work, but I just “sucked it up” while my health quietly got worse from the constant cortisol dumps. Then one day my pharmacy supervisor took his own life. And I remember thinking… “that’s me in ten years”.

I’m sorry. But dreading every single day while patients take a shit on your floor, yell at you, your boss is on your ass, and the phones never stop ringing, all while being a top performing pharmacy with zero upside… that isn’t normal.

People would say, “I’d kill for this job” or “you’re just entitled”. I couldn’t explain it, and most people wouldn’t get it anyway. What they can’t see is that you can technically have “everything” and still not be happy. And the worst part is you can’t even name what’s wrong.

So I started building.

I shot YouTube videos from coffee shops in LA, from my car, from my kitchen. I gave up weekends, woke up at 5 AM, stayed up till 1 AM learning copywriting, high ticket sales, video editing, and client work. I made online friends, and slowly some of them turned into clients.

Then I did the thing everyone thought was crazy.

I moved to Asia so I could take bigger risks and build a life with actual flow. It meant disappointing people I love, like my uncle. It meant being far away from people who passed while I was gone, like my grandma.

I won’t lie to you, it’s hard. There’s an identity death, the constant self-doubt, and the pressure of always needing to do more while never quite feeling good enough.

And here’s the truth… you probably already know what you need to do. It’s not a lack of information. The internet is drowning in creators teaching the “how”.

But the thing we need to be reminded of is that we’re not alone. More often than not, others are going through the exact same thing in silence.

So that’s why I make my YouTube videos and write this blog. To share what’s actually worked for me, and to help you along the way.

Once a month I sit down and write out what's actually going on behind the scenes.

The wins, the dumb mistakes, and lessons I'm learning in real time, along with whatever I'm figuring out about building a creator business and a life I actually like.
